ExxonMobil power and protect Honda engines with Red Bull Formula One teams and provide fuels and lubricants to all four Honda-powered Red Bull Formula One cars in 2021, four identical power units enhance research and development opportunities.
Red Bull Racing Honda continue to receive ExxonMobil’s fuels and lubricant products, now with Honda engines, while the same product supply deal continues with the Scuderia Alpha Tauri team that has been running a Honda power unit since the start of the 2018 season.
All four cars are filled with ExxonMobil products including Mobil 1 motor oil and Esso, Exxon & Mobil Synergy race fuel that offer maximum power, performance and protection to the 1.6 litre V6 Honda engine.
In addition, ExxonMobil supply both teams with high-performance racing gear oil, hydraulic oil and synthetic greases. The new engine supply deal between Red Bull and Honda strengthens the existing Technology Partnership between ExxonMobil and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing which began in early 2017, during which multiple performance-enhancing product upgrades have been delivered to the team.
The deal also reinforces the technical relationship between ExxonMobil and Honda in conjunction with Scuderia AlphaTauri.
